Formalin-free filler treatment for glossy, smoothed hair

Hair Botox
at TEO

Hair botox is a filler treatment that injects collagen, elastin and vegetable proteins into hair pores to smooth, plump and reflect the light. Unlike keratin it does not straighten — it repairs. Our formulas at TEO Beauty Centre are formalin-free and safe for repeated use.

Not a Botox — a Filler

What exactly is hair botox, and what is it not?

Despite its name, hair botox has absolutely no connection to facial botox — it is an entirely cosmetic care protocol. The name is used as a marketing term inspired by the 'rejuvenated, plumped, and radiant' appearance it gives the hair. What it actually does is replenish the natural components the hair shaft loses over time — such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, keratin, and amino acids. For this reason, some brands also refer to it as a 'hair filler'.

Its most important distinction from classic keratin treatment is that it contains no formaldehyde. In classic keratin applications, the primary ingredient responsible for straightening the hair is formaldehyde or its derivatives — a substance that can cause respiratory tract irritation, watering eyes, and long-term health risks. Hair botox contains none of these substances, which is why it can safely be used by pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and those with sensitive skin. At TEO Beauty Centre, we use only certified formaldehyde-free products.

Unlike keratin, hair botox does not chemically straighten the hair — it simply moisturises and fills it. For this reason, wavy or curly hair retains its natural texture after botox; only frizz control and shine are enhanced. Straight hair, meanwhile, acquires a silky, weighted, and fluid feel. This treatment is particularly ideal as a restorative therapy for hair whose porosity has been compromised by colouring, lightening, or frequent heat styling.

"Hair botox is keratin's safe, formaldehyde-free counterpart — it does not straighten; it fills, and it illuminates."

Frequently Asked

Hair Botox FAQ

How is botox different from keratin?

Keratin smooths and straightens. Botox repairs and adds gloss without altering curl pattern.

How long does it last?

2 to 3 months depending on hair type and shampoo choice.

When can I wash my hair after?

24 hours after application — half the wait of keratin.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

Our formalin-free formulas are considered safe from the second trimester with your doctor's approval.

Can I have colour and botox on the same day?

Yes — botox is often applied immediately after colour to seal in vibrancy.

Will botox make my curls straight?

No. It softens and smooths curls without changing their pattern.
