Men's Hair Colour at TEO
Natural-looking colour, grey coverage and controlled tone

Men's Hair Colour
at TEO

In men's hair colour the expectation is usually not a visible change of shade but a natural-looking balance. At TEO Beauty Centre we assess your current colour, the proportion of grey, any scalp sensitivity and how natural you want the result to look, then choose the tone and the method from that. The aim is not a result that reads as dyed, but a colour that softens how age reads and brings your hair and beard into agreement.

Why Men's Hair Colour?

A Natural Tone

The colour is set to work with your existing shade, your skin tone and your beard.

Controlled Grey Coverage

Greys can be covered completely, or partially for a more natural result.

Scalp Comfort

Any history of sensitivity is reviewed and the necessary checks are made beforehand.

Matched to the Beard

Planning hair and beard together reduces the difference in tone between them.

The Measure of Natural

Men's colour succeeds when nobody notices it

Men most often colour their hair to soften the greys. The most common mistake here is choosing a shade darker than the natural colour. A dark tone does cover grey, but it hardens the face and makes the colour obvious. A natural result comes from a shade close to — or one step lighter than — your own.

Before the service we assess the proportion of grey area by area. The density at the temples and sideburns is usually different from the crown. Applying a single tone without allowing for that can leave a patchy result, so processing time and tone are varied according to local density.

If you want a natural finish, some of the grey can be left rather than covered entirely. That keeps natural depth in daylight, makes the regrowth line far less obvious and stretches the interval between appointments, which lightens the upkeep.

Assessing hair and beard together makes the result more coherent. Beards usually grey faster than hair; if the difference in tone is large, nothing looks natural. We allow for that when planning. Afterwards, we share advice on wash frequency and products to extend the life of the colour.

"The best men's hair colour is the one nobody thinks is coloured."

Colour is applied in five steps

01

Colour and Grey Analysis

We assess your current tone, grey proportion by area, skin tone and beard colour.

We ask about scalp sensitivity and carry out any checks that are needed.

04

Application

Application and processing times are adjusted to the density of grey in each area.

05

Care Guide

What to consider before and after men's hair colour

What Helps the Result

  • Tell us before the appointment about any allergy or sensitivity you have had.
  • Be clear about how natural you want it — say so if you don't want full coverage.
  • Leave the recommended time before your first wash after the service.
  • Choose a sulphate-free, colour-protecting shampoo.
  • Stop and tell us immediately if you feel burning or itching on the scalp.

What to Avoid

  • Don't apply a different brand of home colour over the top.
  • Don't choose a shade noticeably darker than your own.
  • Don't swim in a pool or the sea straight after the service.
  • Don't speed up the fade by washing in very hot water.
  • Don't have colour applied while the scalp has open or irritated skin.
